New National Board Chair and health practitioner members appointed

The Australian Health Workforce Ministerial Council appoints a new National Board Chair and health practitioner members.

The Osteopathy Board of Australia (National Board) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Nikole Grbin as the new Chair of the National Board. This appointment by the Australian Health Workforce Ministerial Council (Ministerial Council) is to 30 August 2015. Dr Grbin continues her current appointment as the National Board practitioner member from South Australia.

Ms Anne Cooper has been appointed for a first term as a practitioner member from New South Wales for a period of three years to 30 August 2017.

Dr Andrew Yakisich has been appointed for a first term as a practitioner member from Western Australia for a period of three years to 6 August 2017.

The National Board would like to thank the outgoing Chair, Dr Robert Fendall, for his dedication to and work on the National Scheme, and for contributing to the safety of the public by ensuring access to health practitioners who are safe and adequately trained and qualified.

The National Board would like to welcome the incoming Chair and Board members and looks forward to working with them to continue to regulate health practitioners in the public interest.
