The Osteopathy Board of Australia calls osteopaths and community members to participate. Interested parties need to complete the relevant documentation and return to the Board by 6 April 2012. Applications must include the application form, a CV and a statement of claims against each of the selection criteria. Applications can be lodged by email to osteopathy.panels@ahpra.gov.au, or by writing to Osteopathy Board of Australia, G.P.O. Box 9958, Melbourne VIC 3001.The Board is responsible for the registration of osteopaths, setting professional standards and managing notifications (complaints) against osteopaths. Through the notifications process the Board may form Health Panels and Performance & Professional Standards Panels, using the approved persons list. The approved persons for panel appointments will be called upon if the need arises to appoint a panel. If called upon, panel members will be paid a daily rate which is currently $472. Panel members may also be paid an additional fee for preparation or research. Please see the application pack, below, for more detail.
